Jesus, has it been a week already

So I'm on fast forward. Seems like everytime I get up to milk the cows I can't believe I've been granted another day. So I slough out of bed and make my way to get my breakfast - oatmeal w/ raisens, and head out the door to work. Now I wouldn't say I'm a working stiff but somehow the days are running together and so are the nights - when was the last time I didn't have a drink?

Patience - moderation - self enlightenment. All things I've been incorporating into my life with success but there is something missing, cue John Mayer. Example. Last night was awesome - Lola bean, A-Yo, CJ, Mel, and I had a fantastic time. Drinks, a re-cap of the weekend's events, running into other friends, more good conversation, a change of scenery, good food, and homeward bound feeling great. But somehow I get up and I feel like I'm milking the cows again. soomethang's missing and I don't know how to fix it...

My momma once told me a long time ago that whiskey and women will do you wrong. Somehow I think after I actually listen to her that milking the cows won't feel the same.

I have been thinking the same thing for about the past year.

I find that variation is key. Even though we may all have a routine to keep, mixing up even the smallest factors from day to day can make things somewhat more interesting...and when you find that mixing up the little things doesn't work for you anymore - then it's time to formulate an exit strategy and go for something completely sideways.

dammit andre! I like to picture a day working at Boulevard like working at Willy Wonka's. Let me have my dream. no more of this cow-talk.

but then again, things are always better on paper. sigh. so i guess i understand.
